IDEM Irrigation | Virtual Incubator Resident Highlight

Updated: Apr 27, 2023

IDEM Irrigation aims to provide smart and affordable options for all growers through their highly innovative, patent-pending pivot sprinkler head technology. Located in the Panhandle of Nebraska, IDEM is committed to helping growers increase their yield. IDEM Irrigation is a Virtual Incubator Resident at The Combine, an AgTech startup program.

IDEM knows all too well about the Nebraska wind, so they are focused on developing a technology that stops water loss due to wind and drift. Every year, tens of millions of gallons of water are lost due to wind and drift. Precision application of water, fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide is becoming an increasing need, with 50% of the nitrogen applied in large agricultural settings watering or blowing off and seeping into the Mississippi River.

Motivated by agriculture, fertigation, and chemigation applications on row crops, to be specific, IDEM is focused on making a difference in the industry. Their technology eliminates drift, applies a more uniform mixing process to each individual spraying head, and significantly reduces nitrogen overuse. In addition, their sprinkler head technology allows farmers to save 90% in application costs.

IDEM Irrigation is focused on helping its growers reduce water, herbicide, and pesticide usage while working to protect the planet and feed the world. We are proud to have IDEM Irrigation as a Virtual Incubator Resident at The Combine.
